Matthew Brownstead is the Director of New Business Development at Cornerstone Specialty Network, LLC. He graduated from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce with a degree in Finance and Management. While at UVA, Matthew was also the captain of the swimming and diving team, where he earned recognition as an American record holder and multi-time All-American swimmer.
Matthew gained valuable experience during his junior year internship at the Royal Bank of Canada, working in an investment banking role. There, he developed a strong foundation in financial analysis, revenue and expense projections, and understanding the key aspects of successful businesses. In his current role at Cornerstone Specialty Network, Matthew is responsible for evaluating and identifying new practice and pharma-facing business opportunities. He creates go-to-market strategies, including revenue and budget forecasts, and develops performance dashboards to track business uptake and progress. Matthew also collaborates with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure plan clarity and compliance, ensuring accuracy in all reporting and implementation measures.
